Don
I was on the Internet and I saw an ad for a Paso Fino for sale.
It was near me and very cheap, so I decided to look into it. A friend of
mine and I went to look at this horse. It was about a 3 hour drive from
my house, and when we got there, we said to each other that the horse we
were looking at was in pretty rough shape.
We both felt really bad for him. He was kind of spooky with people walking
around him, but he was very responsive once we got on and rode him. He
was going to go to an auction in three days if we were not going to buy
him. He was nothing that either me or my friend was interested in.. We
can't really show a Paso Fino. We went home and I started feeling really
bad for the poor guy, and so finally I called the lady and talked her down
to nearly half of what she was asking, and went and picked him up a couple
days later. He is still in kind of rough shape, and still doesn't really
like people, but we have only had him a couple months, and his attitude
has gotten a lot better and he had gained about 150 lbs. I am so glad.
He is starting to look like a real horse now. Both of these pictures were
taken right after I got him, and I hope to get some more on of him more
recently. You can tell a huge difference since then.
